Transparency International Ireland is hosting a free two-day training course that may interest activists, researchers, journalists or lawyers who would like to understand how Irish companies can be used to hide the proceeds of environmental crime, tax evasion, organised crime or corruption.
The training will include exercises on how participants can use beneficial ownership data to reveal the real owners of these companies. The online course is provided by local and international experts from the Tax Justice Network and Transcrime (the Joint research centre on transnational crime of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, the Alma Mater Studiorum Università di Bologna and the Università degli Studi di Perugia).
The course will focus on law and practice and will take place via Zoom on 3 and 4 November 2022. Registration and participation is free but spaces are limited. Register at https://t.co/bwVA9NKjel.
