TI Ireland conducting research on Local Government

29 November 2017

Transparency International (TI) Ireland is currently carrying out research into local government in Ireland. The aim of this research and resulting report is to provide independent analysis from civil society, as well as constructive insights, on the local authorities’ systems for transparency, accountability and integrity.

TI Ireland will look into and report on best practices across the 31 local authorities in Ireland, and will also provide recommendations for any shortcomings identified. These recommendations will be formulated for both the local and national level.

As part of this, TI Ireland is conducting desk reviews, as well as contacting the authorities themselves with a standard set of questions. The findings and report are due to be published in March 2018, on TI Ireland’s website, so do be sure to visit our website again then.
