Corruption in Ireland
Corruption has been a growing feature of public discourse in Ireland
over the past decade. State tribunals, investigations and media
revelations of wrongdoing in public and corporate life have heightened
perceptions of corruption and led to a momentum for reform in many
of our key institutions and systems.
The question as to how effective this reform has been in combating
corruption, what extent corruption poses a threat to Ireland’s
public and corporate life is examined in our National Integrity Systems Country Study for 2009.
More resources on how Ireland is stopping corruption are available in our publications section.
